After talking using Sight Speed technology with school 1129 in Moscow last week, Project Director, Michael Cunningham announced today that the Russian Sight Speed International Parliament Project was off to a complete and utter success.
Cunningham explained that by using the power of communication, students learn the inner workings of democracy as they write legislation/resolutions and learn how to argue merit of what they constructed.
Cunningham, "Taking local issues and realizing that a local political stand in many cases is not a great position on the international basis. This project allows highly motivated students from several countries to argue against their peers over issues that they the student believe are important. This is truly an education that you can not find in a book."
With the help of Sight Speed technology, the member schools are working with each other as well as two United States Universities as they prepare for their final project this June- an International Parliament that will be hosted on Sight Speed. |
